After you’ve been pestered (or is that harassed) by your little ones to paint their faces you are left with coming up with face painting ideas. What to do ? Where to begin? How do you do it? Help is at hand folks.

The first thing to remember is that you don’t have to be a Renoir or a Picasso. Kids, especially younger ones, just want something painted on their face. There are loads of face painting ideas but in the heat of the moment (read, the yell of the child), it’s difficult to get inspiration, I know it was for me. Too many choices! Then I saw this site for some face painting ideas . It has some really easy designs to get you started.

You can start with the simple flowers or butterflies while you build your skill before moving onto some of the more complex designs. For large areas you will get better results using a sponge. A simple snowman would be a really easy way to start.

Paint the face all white with the sponge. Do the nose and eyes in black. and voila! A snowman!

Another really easy one to start with but a bit more involved is a cat or dog. Just mix some brown and whit to get a tan color. Paint the face all over. Do a pink bit on the nose. Some black whiskers and your four year old will be over the moon.

If you have any other really easy face painting ideas, let me know.
